Two days ago we had a little sleepover party at my place with Mona, and what a fun girls night it was! Okay it wasn’t a party, but it involved pizza, watching Sex and The City and pajamas. In autumn time that means a party to me. It was raining outside, which made it even more perfect. The pizza we enjoyed was a healthy homemade version – the crust was made only of egg – but so super delicious it didn’t taste like a boring healthy thing at all!
Ingredients:
– Crust: 5 eggs
– Toppings of your choice, we had: salami, onion, mozzarella, tomato, mushrooms
– Spices/sauces: tomato puree, ketchup, black pepper, garlic powder, pizza spice/oregano, olive oil, salt (which we skipped because of the salty salami)
Toissapäivänä Mona oli mun luona yötä, ja vietettiin kunnon tyttöjenilta. Pizzaa, Sinkkuelämään katselua ja yöpuvuissa hengailua. Ulkona satoi vettä kaatamalla, mutta sehän teki tästä vain tunnelmallisemman syksyisen illan! Pizzamme oli itse tehtyä terveellistä pizzaa – pohja nimittäin tehty pelkästään kananmunasta – mutta ei saa antaa terveellisyyden hämätä. Maistui niin hyvältä!
Ainekset:
– Pohjaan : 5 kananmunaa
– Täytteet oman maun mukaan, meillä oli: salamia, sipulia, mozzarellaa, kirsikkatomaatteja, herkkusieniä
– Mausteet/kastikkeet: tomaattipyrettä, ketsuppia, oliiviöljyä, mustapippuria, valkosipulijauhetta, pizzamaustetta/oreganoa, suolaa halutessa (skipattiin se suolaisen salamin takia)
Step one: Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Then whip the egg whites until it looks like on the picture above. After that pour the egg yolks into the bowl, and really carefully mix them together.
Vaihe 1: Erottele munanvalkuaiset keltuaisista, ja vatkaa valkuaiset vaahdoksi. Sitten varovasti kääntele joukkoon keltuaiset.
Step two: Prepare the toppings you want to have in your pizza. We had mushrooms, onions, salami, mozzarella and tomato. We sliced everything, fried the mushroom on a pan a little bit, and then they were ready to wait for the topping process.
Vaihe 2: Laita pizzanpäälliset valmiiksi: pese, viipaloi ja tarvittaessa paista pannulla jotain, kuten me tehtiin herkkusienille.
Step three: Pour the egg thing to a baking tray, and then put into 200 C preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
Vaihe 3: Kaada munaseos leivinpaperinpäälle pellille, ja laita uuniin 200 asteeseen 10-15 minuutiksi.
Step four: Take the crust out of the oven, then mix together some tomato puree + ketchup + blackpepper + garlic powder + tiny bit olive oil. Then spread it on top of the crust.
Vaihe 4: Ota pohja pois uunista. Sekoita kupissa tomaattipyrettä, ketsuppia, pieni luraus oliiviöljyä, mustapippuria ja valkosipulijauhetta, sitten levitä se pohjan päälle.
Step five: Throw the toppings on top of the crust with the tomato puree base, and put it back into the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
Vaihe 5: Asettele pizzanpäälliset, ja laita takaisin uuniin uudestaan 10-15 minuutiksi.
Step six: Let it cool for a couple minutes, sprinkle some oregano or pizza spice on top of it.
Vaihe 6: Anna jäähtyä pari minuuttia ja ripottele päälle pizzamaustetta tai oreganoa.
Step seven: Enjoy with a glass of coke zero and SATC on the background. And then have some ice-cream to make sure you’re not being too healthy.

I’d never thought of an egg-only pizza crust! I’m definitely going to have to try this out!! I’ve tried cauliflower pizza crust that turned out so-so, but it’s a bit more involved than this–this looks sooooo simple. I’d love to read more of your recipes–it’s always so fun to get recipe ideas from people, especially when they’re exciting healthy ones (eating healthy can be so boring if you don’t have good recipes!). Plus it makes it seem like you’re not alone in trying to eat healthy haha.

I have tried out a recipe. Good for gluten-free option, but it was too much eggs and the smell in the kitchen was horrible. Rather make a quiche out of all these eggs, it would work great with pizza toppings!
