IKEA sideboard hack

We hadn’t found a perfect sideboard for our home, so we decided to create a DIY kind of sideboard ourselves. I’m so happy how it turned out, just what I dreamed of! Clean and simple + the custom-made quartz top makes it look more expensive and unique. We didn’t want the classic IKEA ‘Bestå’ units, so we went for kitchen upper cabinets instead.

‘Metod’ kitchen upper cabinets x 2

‘Metod’ keittiökaapin rungot x 2

‘Veddinge’ doors (matte white) & ‘Capita’ legs (looking for other legs though!)

‘Veddinge’ ovet (mattavalkoiset) & ‘Capita’ jalat (voi olla että jalat menee vielä vaihtoon)

Quartz custom-made top (from a stone workshop)

Teetetty kvartsi-päällyslevy (ostettu kiviverstaasta)

‘Förbättra’ cover panels on both sides (cut to measure)

‘Förbättra’ peitelevyt molemmilla sivuilla (sahattu oikeaan mittaan)

Total: IKEA 250€ + top 330€ = 580€

How do you like it? 💕

Mitäs te pidätte? 💕

This looks incredible! You said about maybe having different table legs in the future but you could always spray paint them gold or rose gold for a temporary fix as white looks beautiful with these sorts of metallics! Lucy x

Ikea furniture are practical but can also be a bit boring ! So I really like how this one turned out ! Simple yet pretty ! Now can’t wait to have a real apartment tour !

Marianna, you have always done a wonderful job of home decor and this is no exception. Job well done! One question though, how do you open the doors?
The best to both of you, commenting from Vancouver.

Great idea. Turned out really nice. Some wooden legs will make it perfect. What time of legs are you looking for?
